Why Groups Choose Chester for their Hen Parties
Party like the WAG’s with a city rich in style, elegance and amazing nightlife. This is the city for you if you’re looking to enjoy the city by day and the party lifestyle after dark.
Chester is a wonderful city filled with unique history and landmarks dating back to Roman and Tudor periods. There are cobbled streets and the River Dee running through it, making it a truly beautiful and charming hen party location.
When it comes to shopping, Chester offers arguably the best shopping experience in the Northwest. From Chester’s undercover Grosvenor Shopping Centre to the main streets, your hen group can explore the endless supply of wonderful independent stores and high street favourites.
Stroll through the historic Chester Rows for an eye-catching and enchanting experience. The Rows are 700-years old, dating back to medieval times and are actually two tiers of shopping and dining venues, that give you the feeling of being close to history.
Explore Chester’s history and witness the places which had been there for centuries. These are iconic landmarks such as the Roman Amphitheatre and the Eastgate Clock. Located in Chester city centre and said to be the country’s most photographed clock after Big Ben, Eastgate Clock is a proud landmark in the UK.
Chester’s racecourse is Britain’s oldest sporting venue, having been established back in 1539. It still offers horse racing and can be visited to this day. It’s also known as the Roodee and is as a especially popular hotspot for hens during Ladies Day, which is usually in May. With its own gin garden, who can resist!
Chester’s got its fair share of ghost stories, which isn’t surprising considering the spot’s just oozing with tales from yesteryear. Ye Olde Kings Head is home to some very lively guests that refuse to leave after last orders, and recently the ghosts of Victorian children have been spotted in Stanley Palace.
River culture is rather big in Chester. As a result, you’ll find there’s plenty of bars with a range of drinks and restaurants to choose from. Since Chester is a small city, everything your hen party needs is within walking distance on the cobbled streets of this picturesque market town.
