Everything Your Hen Party Needs to Know About Bath

Sights and Sounds

Bath is city that is rich in history with a wealth of things to see and do. It has Roman baths, Georgian architecture and modern buildings which make it a beautiful destination for hen parties, especially in the summer months.

The Royal Crescent is particularly notable for its use in the “Who Will Buy” scene from the musical Oliver Twist and scenes from the Netflix Drama Bridgerton. Sydney Street and Bath Green are also worth a visit if your hen is a Bridgerton fan.

Pulteney Street is another famous musical location that was home to some of the scenes in the movie adaptation of Les Miserables, starring Hugh Jackman.

The Roman Baths are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the remains of which constitute one of the most well-preserved bath complexes in the country and which provide a number of insights into Roman culture and architecture. It’s just one of many great things that this city has to offer, including the spectacular Cathedral that can be found next door.

For a completely relaxing hen experience, then head to The Therma Spa. Thermae Bath Spa is made up of three mineral rich waters: the Kings Spring, Hetling Spring and Cross Spring. It provides an incredible spa experience, drawing visitors from all over the world.

To really appreciate this iconic city, why not book our City of Bath Canal boat weekend – we have two bases to cruise from, Sydney Wharf and Monkton Combe.

Sydney Wharf is about ten minutes by boat to Bath Top Lock. From here, you can moor up and it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the city centre. If your group wants the experience of having a go at locks then head straight into Bath city centre instead, where you will experience a longer journey and six locks enroute to try your hand at.
